8 Simple Steps to Growing the Best Marijuana

Growing the best Marijuana – Starting From Seed

Growing marijuana for the first time can be intimidating, especially considering the amount of information and products that are out there. I’m going to take you through 8 easy steps from seed to harvest. This will give you an idea of different solutions for different stages in your plants life. Growing the best marijuana can be as simple as 8 steps.

Don’t over think it and enjoy your weed at the end. This industry has a tradition of using big words and scientific terms which discourages the person looking to grow some pot on their own. It is named “weed” because it grow like one. They are resilient, so if you are garbage at growing plants stick to my step by step weed grow guide and you will end up with smokable CBD or marijuana in the end.

  1. Take your seeds and place them in the jiffy cubes that you have expanded by following the directions on the package.
  • Setup your tent, ventilation, pots, soil, lights, timers and all the stuff that you can find on my easy guide item list.

  • You can also get a simple starter kit which has much of everything I list out in my item list in a kit like this and then customize it over time:
  • I highly recommend autoflowering seeds to keep the grow simplistic and easy. If you have had problems in the past or this is your first grow take this advise.
  1. A few days later before the sprouts have hit the top of the jiffy dome carefully put the sprout in the fabric pots with the Stonington soil. Don’t get cute and break the cube apart. Put the entire thing (not the dome you fool; just the jiffy pellet) in the fabric pot with a light layer of soil over the top of the pellet.
  1. Place in your grow tent with grow lights set to 18+ hours a day of continuous light.

Vegetation Stage

  1. Continue to water regularly but being careful to not drown your plant. This soil in particular has everything you need for nutrients from seed to harvest! If the plant wilts it means it doesn’t have enough water, but it can also mean you are over watering. General rule of thumb water until it comes through the bottom of the pot.
  • Wait until the soil is dry to water again. Feel what the soils is like when it is dry if you can stick your finger up to your second knuckle and it feels that way then it needs water. If it feels damp hold off.

Flowering Stage

  1. When ¾ of the hairs on the buds have turned brown (start off white and then brown and curl up), the bud is ready to harvest.
  • With autoflower marijuana or CBD plants, it will take roughly 2-3 months until your marijuana or CBD buds will be fully developed. Keep an eye on the hair like pieces coming out of your buds for the ratio listed above.
  • You can take a picture with your phone to look closer at the bud. If the little sticky droplets that show in your picture are white and roughly 20-30% of them are also amber, then it is time to harvest. If they are clear then you need to continue to let them mature.

Harvest

  1. Cut your plants and hang them upside down.
  • You can decide to trim your buds while they are still wet or once they are dry. I prefer to trim while the plant is still wet so when the bud dries they look closer to what you would get from a dispensary.
  • Once dry, marijuana or CBD buds can simply be put into storage. You need to be more careful to not over trim or brush off the good trichomes that give the weed its potency.
  1. After 7-10 days depending on the humidity and environment your plants should be dry. Wait until one of the middle branches when bending it the branch almost snaps, but does not just bend.  Once this occurs proceed to the next step.
