Weed vaporizer’s are simple, enjoyable, and possibly “healthier for you.
Growing your own weed can be a real rewarding experience. You know exactly what goes in to the plant, where it is sourced from and how the plant is treated from seed to harvest. The next step is the crucial part… Whether to roll it directly or opt for a weed vaporizer.
Smoking marijuana is done by lighting it with a flame or rolling papers over the bud, releasing smoke into your lungs to absorb THC. Vaporizing weed lacks any of the harmful carcinogens associated with burning smoke, as well as producing a less intense high that lasts longer.
Vaporizing your herbs also preserves more of the active cannabinoids which are delivered directly into your bloodstream; this means less product used and more potent medicine extracted per session than smoking. Once you have grown your own bud there is nothing more satisfying than finally being able to try it. If you have managed to wait the entire time while the flowers cure,
then do you really want to spoil the experience lighting an ordinary joint or burying it in the flavor of a cookie or gummy?
This is how I ended up stumbling upon vaporizers.
Sure a joint is nice, but it never had that enjoyable taste to me.
Bongs are the closest you get to getting a smooth flavor and even that you are torching to smoke it and then cooling with the water.
Again, I can’t begin to recommend vaporizers enough. The days I enjoy some marijuana it is pretty much exclusively in a vaporizer or in an edible.
I am not a doctor….. obviously, but I do have a weed vaporizer.
So, I am not going to bore you with some half effort explanation of why I feel vaporizers are better because they bake and don’t combust the flower. Or that they basically cause the sticky part of the flower containing the :
- THC,
- CBD, and
- all the good stuff to become vapor
This is awesome, because you don’t get any of that strong burning flavor that you would get from burning a blunt, joint or burning the flower with a flame. Definitely wouldn’t say that is how I feel about it…..
Remember when I said I got into marijuana because of my headaches?
If not you can read it in my intro.
I started to realize marijuana is a better version of taking something for those headaches, aching muscles, stiff joints, upset stomach and so on. Plus, you will get the added benefit from taking in the small things and relaxing.
With that being said…..
Not all vaporizers are created equal.
When I first got into smoking weed I had some cartridge with oil which led me to look into vaporizers and find the vape at the end of the rainbow. Now that I grow my own weed using the same steps from my beginners guide, I control what is consumed, what my weed is grown with, and get a cleaner taste and experience.
Those disposables or oil cartridges are expensive and adds up. Since I am growing my own weed why not have it taste as good?
From what I personally experienced; you get what you pay for. The cheaper brands clog up quickly, don’t really allow you to control temperatures or end up burning the weed which is the exact opposite of what you are going for.
Firefly’s – Weed Vaporizer
My first “nice” vape was a Firefly. I thought it was amazing at first:
- The glass design to cool the vapor as you breath is nice and trust me you notice it.
- The Firefly 2 senses when you inhale and begins to heat as if on command.
This is good and bad.
Bad: You will find yourself pulling for 20+ seconds to get a noticeable hit.
Good: It has an app to control temperatures and as you nerd out on how different temperatures bring out different benefits.
It left me desiring something more.
It was a great beginners vape because it was as simple as breathing air, clean-up of the unit is easy when it is needed, but there is a downside….
They have a short limited warranty length compared to some of its competitors.
You hope you never need it and truthfully the device never failed me except I noticed a hairline fracture that started to spread over time in the glass top.
They insisted this was from me tapping to clear the place where you put your dry herb.
I swear to this day
I was more careful with it than I am would be holding a new born baby. Again, it was a great vaporizer and above some of the budget and less known brands,
however,
as I became more in tuned with the different strains I grew
I searched for
and found…..
THE VAPORIZER I USE TO THIS DAY 🙂
Pax’s – Weed Vaporizer
My research and trials from others who smoked this way led me to the Pax 3.
Do yourself a favor…
Get the Pax Weed Vaporizer complete kit.
It comes with:
- little cleaners,
- a metal bristle cleaner
- which will be used as you smoke this way more,
- a half pack lid,
- and a replacement tray for the bottom of the oven.
The tray prevents the dry herb from entering the chamber that allows the vapor from the bowl/ oven to the mouth piece.
The Pax is completely different in the way it works compared to the Firefly.
You can adjust the temperature by hitting the mouth piece. Also, pressing the mouthpiece turns the unit on. In about 5-10 seconds the bowl warms and continuously heats until you turn it off,
or don’t move the unit for roughly 30 seconds which puts it in a standby mode.
It is very easy to clean you can pop the mouth piece off, the tray from the bowl and with the complete kit you have the little bristle scrubber to clean the part I mentioned earlier. I use a little Q-tip with a bit of rubbing alcohol to rub the mouth piece, the tray and the bowl out every few weeks.
I standby this recommendation.
Pax’s Weed Vaporizer has an insane warranty not that you will ever need to use it.
The unit is straight quality and leaves my scenario with the firefly almost impossible. The battery life is also significantly better. My Firefly battery was trash in less than a year.
Most likely because I had it going for ages trying to get the vapor that is easily produced by the Pax 3 and did I mention I haven’t noticed any changes in the battery life a FEW YEARS LATER!
Click this HERE, enter your email address and you will receive 10% off order over $100.
Whether you order direct from Pax or go through Vapor.com like me, you will be happy.
When I ordered mine through Vapor.com,
who sweetened the deal by throwing in a free odor locking pouch for when you don’t want to announce to the world what you are enjoying some bud,
they usually add in a discount or awesome item for first time customers. The also have pretty much everything you can think of from grinders to vapes.
Both Pax and vapor.com excel and really try to keep your repeat business.
With a pricier purchase compared to rolling a joint, the Pax 3 can be more comforting to buy direct from the manufacturer, Pax, and then all the add-ons you might want later you head over to vapor.com and it is a win/win.
